What we keep
X handles
When you pour an X handle, we ask X's official API for that account's public profile (name, bio, avatar, follower count, verified mark, location) and up to 10 recent public posts. We turn those into a few broad themes (like music or code) and never show or store post text. The profile basics and themes are cached for up to 24 hours, then dropped. Private or missing accounts get a drink from the handle alone.
Other handles
For TikTok, Instagram and other platforms, the @ you type makes the drink and we don't fetch any profile. When drink numbering is on, we store a count per handle and platform so each drink gets its number, plus a short-lived rate limit keyed to your IP.
Your browser
Settings like sound, cup size and Soda+ status live in your browser's local storage. Clear it anytime.
If you join a list (newsletter, merch drop, pack), we store your email to send that. Unsubscribe from any email. We don't sell or share it.
Payments
Stripe handles checkout. We never see your card. Stripe shares the purchase, email and the handle you bought for, so we can help with support.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and a few button taps without cookies or cross-site tracking.
