Christmas dirty soda recipes (peppermint, gingerbread, sugar cookie)
Six Christmas dirty sodas you can make in two minutes: peppermint cream cola, gingerbread spiced cola, sugar cookie lemon-lime, cranberry Shirley and more, with ratios for a 16 oz cup.
The holiday formula
Fill a 16 oz cup with pebble ice. Add 1 to 1.5 tbsp of holiday syrup, pour 12 oz of cold soda slowly down the side, then float 2 tbsp of cream or a spoon of cold foam on top. Garnish last so it stays crisp.
| Drink | Soda | Syrup | Cream / top |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peppermint cream cola | Cola | Peppermint + vanilla | Half & half, candy cane |
| Gingerbread pepper | Spiced cherry cola | Gingerbread | Vanilla cream, whip |
| Sugar cookie | Lemon-lime | Sugar cookie | Coconut cream, sprinkles |
| Cranberry Shirley | Lemon-lime | Cranberry + grenadine | Light cream, rosemary |
| White Christmas | Cream soda | White chocolate | Vanilla cold foam |
| Eggnog float | Root beer | Vanilla | 2 tbsp eggnog |
Peppermint cream cola
Cola, 1 tbsp peppermint syrup, 1/2 tbsp vanilla syrup and half & half. Rim the cup with crushed candy cane. Tastes like a peppermint mocha with fizz.
Gingerbread pepper
A spiced cherry cola with 1 tbsp gingerbread syrup and vanilla cream. Top with whipped cream and a pinch of cinnamon. The soda's spice notes carry the ginger.
Cranberry Shirley
Lemon-lime soda, 1 tbsp cranberry syrup, 1/2 tbsp grenadine, lime and a light pour of cream. Garnish with fresh cranberries and rosemary. The brightest one on the table.
White Christmas
Cream soda with white chocolate syrup and coconut cream, topped with vanilla cold foam. Very sweet; use 8 oz cups at a party.
Make it lighter
Use zero-sugar soda and sugar-free peppermint, gingerbread or vanilla syrups, and swap cream for 2 tbsp light coconut milk. Taste stays close; sugar drops by more than half.
